Meet your new desert-certified trail companion: The Saguaro Vest. Built for long hauls, dry miles, and dusty grinds, it’s a 6-liter gear hauler that wears light, breathes easy, and feels like a nice hug.
With two zippered chest pockets perfectly sized for snacks or that oversized phone you definitely won’t be checking mid-ride, and two drop pockets for fast-grab items (Chapstick? Half a bar? Small rock you thought was cool?), The Saguaro keeps your essentials tight to your body without the dreaded bounce.
Around back, there’s a dedicated sleeve for a 2L Hydrapak bladder — and a separate main cargo zone with side access, so your zipper isn’t caked in rear-tire mud halfway through the day. Two side-access organizer pockets make gear sorting easy, and a key clip keeps your truck key out of the canyon.
The 2 daisy chains down the outside of the pack make for a great haul all option. Jacket, knee pads, chin bar, really whatever you can fit.
Breathable mesh shoulder straps and back panel help you keep your cool, even when your legs are losing theirs. Whether you're taking on the White Rim Trail or just committing to “one more ridge,” The Saguaro is here to carry your stuff, and keep you going further and higher.

FIT
The Saguaro Vest is designed to fit most riders with an adjustable, low-profile harness system that stays close to the body without restricting movement. The Sternum straps are adjustable up and down for a comfy non-revealing fit. If you're somewhere in the S–XXL range, you’re likely good to go.
That said, riders on the smaller end of the spectrum (particularly petite or narrow-framed folks) might find it tricky to get a snug-enough fit. And if you typically wear larger than a men’s XXL, The Saguaro may not have quite enough room to fit comfortably over layers.
The Saguaro is a dropped fit vest meaning that this will fit about 2" lower than a traditional running vest. When hunched over in a riding position, the traditional style vest can put weird pressure on the front of the armpit. The Saguaro is designed to be most comfortable when in a riding position.
We’re working on expanding fit ranges in future versions — and we mean that. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with questions or sizing concerns. We want The Saguaro to work with your body, not against it.
HOW TO TREAT YOUR SAGUARO VEST

Do not feed after midnight.

Hand wash cold, air dry like it’s hanging off your handlebars at mile 82. Apply Nixwax TX Direct if needed.

Lube your zippers. Dust can go a long way in killing zippers.

Do not bleach — desert ghosts hate that.

Ride. Keep riding. If it starts talking to you, maybe call it a day.

The Whirlpool Hip Pack was designed as a versatile pack that can form to your needs. You are able to carry what you need for the day ahead. A bladder, 2 bottles, food, knee pads? No problem.

Working with Adam at San Util has been an excellent experience. My order arrived on time and the bags are of the highest quality. All of San Util Designs bags are sewn in our workshop in Winter Park Colorado. We manufacture 100% of the bag here receiving large rolls of fabric and boxes of buckles and turning them into the beautiful products you receive.
All of our bags come with a lifetime warranty for the lifecycle of the product. In simple terms, you should get plenty of years of use out of your bags, if you don't and its not some dumb thing you did (like dropping your new ski pack in a volcano), then it is on us.
San Util was born here in Winter Park and as such we ski ton up on Berthoud Pass and surrounding areas and ride bikes in our valley. We try our hardest to destroy things while testing so we can modify them and make them better.
