The Whirlpool Classic - is the pack we wanted to be on the market but couldn’t find. It is an overstuff-able design without any zippers to blow out, sturdy seams and lot of carrying options. A removable bladder and bottle holsters lend to about 100oz of water carrying capacity (think the Whole Enchilada, Palisade Plunge, or pretty much any big enduro race). It was designed with stability, comfort, and simplicity front of mind. The name was picked because the pack is a water carrying machine and is a roll top closure, hence, The Whirlpool. Its wings are designed with as much area as we could get to help distribute the heavy water load. They are sewn in at two points per wing to give them the flexibility to move to the body of the rider. We also tilted the wings up some so the pack sits lower on the back. This helps when in a riding position, keeping the waist belt low. The daisy chain webbing on the back is the perfect spot to strap a coat, carabiner you coffee mug, or clip some sunscreen. You can also take you sunglasses and put the arms through the webbing if you need a place to let them air out.

"I'm still in the early days of its use, but Adam's claims about the pack - that it stays in place very securely, the large size and its stuffability - seem to hold water (incredibly lame pun only sort of intended). San Util seems to have had success creating something that distributes weight vertically - adding weight seems to weight the pack downward without making it want to pull away from my back. I have yet to see anything that would make me think the pack is prone to wear or any type of damage. Actually, quite the opposite: most of the time, this pack'll never experience the type of use that would take a toll. I'm 99% sure it would be just fine after being run over by a truck, and that remaining 1% is only because there's a chance the Fidlock closure or waist buckle could be crushed if the truck hit them just right". - Alicia Leggett (Pinkbike)
The amount of water this pack can comfortably carry alone makes it worth it to me. One major benefit is freeing up more room in a frame bag for food and supplies since the water weight isn’t a deal breaker on the lower back. My Whirlpool will be a go-to piece of gear on my upcoming adventures, and its simple design makes for a straightforward and worry-free experience. Great Pack. Works both front and back. Great for Biking, Hiking, Skiing and Trail Maintenance. We use it with adaptive mountain biking also. Versatile and Expandable.
I bought the Whirlpool hip pack along with 2 bottle holsters & the Hydrapack Contour 1.5L water bladder. First, I love that the hip pack comes in a pink (fuschia) colorway & that it matches the teal bottle holsters so well. 2nd, I appreciate that all items were in stock & shipped pretty quickly. & finally— the product’s great. I’ve taken this out on 2 two-hour mtn bike rides in Tucson, AZ so far. Having the easy access to water has been essential. I also love that even with a full water bladder there’s plenty of room in the hip pack for my gear. One last— I’m a small female & wearing a full hip pack + the 2 bottle holsters feels very comfortable while I ride. I’ll be wearing this gear on all my bikepacking trips & mtn bike rides.
Great pack, its low center of gravity is king. With water bladder or bottles never run out of water, just as intended. I modified it to be used with a Fidlock bottle.
I mostly use this bag while running or on small park trips with my kids. It’s the perfect size to fit the essentials and keeps everything dry on rainy days. The padding against my back is soft and breathable, and the gaps between the straps and the body of the bag offer a nice amount of extra ventilation. The magnetic closure strap is surprisingly strong, and the loops on the front of the bag offer a ton of anchor points for lights, carabiners, etc. I love it.
Also, I got mine with a cobra clip closure, which I immediately fell in love with. It’s strong and easy to open/clasp. It just works well.
Love my Whirlpool pack. Is great on the trails either biking or hiking. Carry’s water I need and any nutrition with the possibility for expanding to fit more(love that) Great quality bags and a great friendly company!
The Whirlpool has been awesome so far, beautifully crafted and well thought out. I can carry a bladder, coat, snacks, and a beer all comfortably. Highly recommended.

The Whirlpool Pack is the only bag you need for 99% of rides. Whether it's a bike park day, a quick 2 hour ride, or an all day epic, this bag will meet your storage needs and perform at a high level while doing so. If you lowkey want this bag but aren't 100% sure you want to splurge... do it. This bag should last a lifetime. You won't regret it.
Perfect volume, fit and features for long day rides and multi day adventures. Well thought out in all the ways that make it perfectly functional with just the right capacity. Added the two extra bottle pockets to carry water, rain jacket and/or bear spray. Not so large that it can be overpacked to the detriment of my backside. Molle panel is a perfect spot to attach an inreach. Super comfy. So far so good and will be taking it on the GDMBR this summer.
I was using a small backpack for a while that was causing some issues for me so I picked up this hip pack while spending a weekend in Winter Park. Shopping in person was great and Katie was super helpful getting me set up with a matching Bottle Holster. I immediately took the pack out on a ride and loved it. I was able to comfortably hold plenty of things: extra water, extra sun layer, small camera (Canon M6 with extra lenses in a small camera case), tools, first-aid and snacks. The next day I took it on a hike with my dog and fit most of the same gear along with a 1L nalgene. Great pack for both activities.
I bought this pack as a gift for my wife to use both mountain biking and around town when biking with our son. She absolutely loves it. Both the look and the size of it are perfect for what she needs and the build quality is excellent.
Excellent pack. I was pleasantly surprised that, when not carrying much, the bag still holds everything in place. I just got back into mountain biking, and am not easy on my equipment, because of frequent falls, tumbles, and general chaos. The bag is steadfast the entire time. The flexibility the rolltop provides is fantastic. While the belt does not appear to have much padding, that doesn't matter. Once on and riding, I don't even notice the bag. It's comfortable, even when packed to the gils and in hot, humid weather. Lastly, the customer service is top notch. Adam responded to my emails and we even chatted when I was trying to figure out what configuration to get. He's clearly a biking enthusiast and loves what he does. Get one. Treat yourself! And feel good buying made in the USA.
Even putting aside the fact that it’s good to support local business, these bags are fantastic. I wore it on a mountain run first and it was non restrictive and never bounced around. Better than half of the run belts I own. On the bike, it carries everything I need and then some. So glad I waited to check these out.
I purchased the marigold whirlpool 1L pack. It came more pumpkin-colored than yellow as was shown. Also, the picture made it seem like the material was water-resistant (thought Cotopaxi or Yeti feel). The actual material was more breathable and thinner overall. Honestly, it didn't feel like a $100 bag. Otherwise loved the clasp and the fit was good. I returned the package because of the color/texture. They were REALLY good at the return process, though I paid for shipping there and back (small business I get it). Figured I'd write a review because the product I got seemed to differ so much from other outstanding reviews here.

I would appreciate having an extension for the main compartment fold over. I hike (not bike) with my bag and when stuffing a layer in the bag I'd like a closure clip. 😊

So far so good like the simple design. Fit everything nicely. Only complaint was lack of hook and loop to seal inside and hip pocket and the shallowness of them. Otherwise love the fit the buckle it's much lighter than the other packs even fully loaded, less bulky and I love that's there not a single zipper to get jammed.
Perfect bag for multiple adventures. Used it biking and hiking. Honestly it’s my everyday bag for a lot of things. Great bag and great company.

Bought the pack with the bladder and 2 bolsters. Just what I needed for longer trail rides while letting my back breathe! Great quality product and highly recommend it.
Bought the yellow whirlpool off the rack and put a hydration pack in. Have loved this for short and long haul rides. Love the rolltop and how I can be as low profile or big as needed depending on what layers I need to peel off. Super comfortable and doesn’t rub or bounce.
I made the fortunate mistake of swinging by the shop to see what new products Adam has come with since my last visit. I say mistake as I should know if I go in I’m going to buy something. Fortunately he had exactly what I’ve been looking for; a great hip pack with hydration ability so I can stop wearing a darn sweaty backpack. This hip pack is typical Adam design, that is to say freaking awesome and top notch quality. I absolutely love it! Fits hydration pack (or water bottles with added bottle pouch), tools, beer, jacket, the multitude of bandages and medical supplies I need for my sloppy riding, and even a flask to kill the pain after an encounter with the tree branch that I swear moved to hit me. This pack is great!
For my needs this bag is perfect. I just want to carry water, a jacket and a garmin inreach in it. All my tools are on the bike. With lots of gear it can be a challenge to get the water bladder in and out since it's a single compartment but I wouldn't change that, the pros of it outweigh the cons. Very comfortable on long days. Very stable on chunky double black diamonds & jumps. The only thing I might change is making zippered pockets on the hip belt and having the water bladder hose exit horizontally instead of vertically.
While the title of this review may seem a bit extreme, I can't reiterate how great this bag is. Internal organization pockets, bladder compatibility, and modular options to adjust the pack to your ride are all great features. But those features, combined with how well this bag rides (even with a heavier load) set it a step above the rest. It doesn't bounce around or get loose throughout the ride. If it's packed lightly, stuff isn't shifting in the bag due to the rolltop, and it gives extra space to overstuff for those long days in the alpine. Truly a great bag. Probably the best bike bag I’ve ever purchased (I’ve bought enough of them to know). You can tell these guys have really thought this bag through. I use this bag daily to carry some extra clothes (usually a t-shirt/socks/gym shirts) and/or a lunch (like one or two Tupperware containers) to work and it all fits. When it’s loaded down, I honestly forget I’m wearing it. My commute is mostly along chunky rail road gravel service roads and when I’m getting bounced around, this bag stays secure. The magnetic latch is perfect for keeping a ton of stuff inside and doesn’t give me any fuss. I couldn’t find a single stray/loose thread on mine and I don’t see any signs of wear after about a year of hard use. I have the cobra buckle on mine and I recommend it. It’s the same buckle we use in military helicopters and it just works. Also the quick shipping was really appreciated.
