Frame bags are one of the more popular bags we make here at San Util. Frame bags are roughly 2.5" wide and will fit your frame perfect through our process for building templates. The standard option comes with a right zip to enter the main compartment and a left zip to access the "map" pocket (a flat pocket on the non-drive side of the bike). We us Vislon #10 zippers for all full frame bags.
There are pros and cons to all the attachment styles. Read below for our thoughts on frame bag attachment. Personally, I am a huge fan on lace ups for the looks and ease of use once the bag is on.
Velcro -
Pros: Easy to put on and take off. Versatile (may fit different bikes if you have slightly different frame shapes). Replaceable velcro when it wears out.
Cons: Does not look the cleanest. Velcro wears out the quickest.
Lace -
Pros: Looks amazing. Is the most secure. Disperses weight evenly across the zipper. .
Cons: Takes a long time to put on and take off. More points for abrasion.
Bolt On -
Pros: Looks incredible clean.
Cons: Hard to put on. Doesn't hold the bag as secure as velcro or lace. Expensive.
Pick your colors here and after the order comes in, I will send an email with instructions on getting a photo of your bike for creating a template.
The primary color will be the two sides and the secondary is the border and the zipper cover. If you want something more custom, let me know, it just may cost more.

My frame bag is a lace up on the top tube and bolted on the downs on a large Surly Krampus frame and I couldn't be more pleased with fit and functionality. This version of the custom bag is even better than the earlier one that I had! I have matching mini-panniers and with this frame bag I can go from biking my kid and all his gear to soccer and cub scouts to an overnight bike trip without having to change a single thing. Above all, I can speak to how great San Util's customer service is all the way around!!

I ordered a custom bag for my dual-suspension bike and the bag fit PERFECTLY. My geometry wasn't the easiest to work around but Adam and his team nailed it. I used it for a 2 week trip on the Colorado Trail and had no issues what-so-ever. Plus I love being able to customize the fabric and colors!
I can't say enough good things about this bag. I got a custom full frame bag for my Santa Cruz Highball. The blue and black perfectly matches the color scheme and even the orange tassles match the bike's accents. The bag perfectly fits the frame, which we did remotely. I sent in a photo and the bag fits perfectly. I have a daisy chain on top and the frame locks into the water bottle holders inside the frame.
I use this setup as my main bikepacking bike. I can fit tons in the frame now. Absolutely worth the price, plus it's made right here in Colorado!

Over the past couple years, we have had the pleasure of working with local artists on some art collabs. We get the art printed on the same outdoor tech fabric that we sew our normal bags out of.
Water resistance
All of our fabrics are water proof with the exception of waxed canvas. Because our bags are sewn, non of them are fully waterproof (albeit very very water resistant).
